Donetsk region still celebrates the New-year and Christmas holidays for children of the privileged categories

The Donetsk region still celebrates the New-year and Christmas holidays for children of the privileged categories. Today, the boarding school pupils of the region house-communal property arrived to the Donetsk Solov’yanenko academic state theatre of opera and ballet to see the Christmas performance “Tsarina-frog”.
Before the performance Father Christmas and his Granddaughter met the children at the foyer. They danced and plaid games with striplings; the most active children received the gifts. The RSA chairman assistant BORYS ADAMOV congratulated the children with the New-year and Merry Christmas. He wished everybody a great health, gladness and faith in the beautiful future.
After the performance all children received new-year sweet gifts from the region state administration. The organizer of the celebration is the RSA Department of education and science.
Today also New-year actions were held in towns and districts of the region. In Vuhledar town there was the competition of new-year holiday postcards for children of the 9-11th forms in the school №3. In Makijivka town there was the Christmas celebration for the children suffered from the Chernobyl catastrophe in the Palace of the children and youth creativity. Starting from the 8th till the 10th of January 2008 there was held “Christmas meetings” for gifted children in the district culture house, Ospyne village of the Artemivs’k district. 57 children took part in the actions and received gifts these days.
During the 10th and 11th of January the Department of youth and sport and the Center of social families of the children and youth make Christmas entertainments for children of the privileged categories in the rehabilitation center “Prolisok” in Novoazovs’k district. Starting from the 8th till 13th of January there continue sport competitions in chess, draughts, table tennis and “Merry starts” in Velykonovoselkivs’k district.
The Department of culture and tourism and village council organized the entertaining program for children of the different age, categories of socially not protected population, from poverty-stricken and with many children families.
