The Day of Saint Nicholas the Thaumaturgist was celebrated in the Donetsk region

Yesterday, the whole Christian world celebrated the Day of Saint Nicholas the Thaumaturgist. Saint Nicholas the Thaumaturgist is honored as the defender of ordinary people, promoter of seaworthiness, trade and agriculture, guardian of poor and orphans. To rescue the people he made wonders.
Almost all Christian people have a tradition to give small children gifts at night from 18th to 19th of December. As Saint Nicholas is the promoter and teacher of children. Yesterday, the region leadership did not leave this day regardless.
As we have earlier mentioned, the RSA chairman, VOLODYMYR LOGVYNENKO, had visited with presents Amrosiyivs’k boarding school for orphans and for children, deprived of parental care.

 

The first assistant of the region leader, SERHIY DERHUNOV, participated in celebrations in the preschool children’s home “Gayok” in Kramators’k town. The director of the children’s house, RAISA MUSIYENKO, made an excursion with visiting of social adaptation room “Ponchyky-syropchyky”, cabinet of the psychological relief and medical block. Then SERHIY HENNADIYOVYCH visited the concert of child's house, where presented the children with a computer, sweet gifts and was photographed for memory, and received from children a decorative picture «Sea-bottom».
 
KIM BERESTOVYJ, the assistant of the RSA chairman, met the pupils of the Mar’yins’k A.S. Makarenko boarding school of the I-II levels for the orphans and children deprived from the parental care. He examined a sleeping corps, preschool section, sporting hall, dining-room, workshops, cabinet of the Ukrainian language, and then went to the assembly hall. Speaking before the present he called children to “imitate good and acts of Nicholas!”. KIM SEMENOVYCH wished the children good, strength, health and to live in peace and harmony».

 

Celebrations, devoted to Saint Nicholas Day, in Vuhlehirs’k boarding school for the orphans and children deprived from the parental care were visited by YURIY KHIVRYCH. He presented children with printer and sweet gifts.

BORUS ADAMOV accompanied the children from the Donetsk boarding school №3 for the children with heavy problems of articulation. Having given the children DVD and sweet gifts BORYS ISAYOVYCH wished them “strong health, energy, optimism, inspiration, cheerful and faithful friends and happy smiles”

 

The chairman assistant, the leader of the RSA apparatus, LYUDMYLA DAVYDENKO, visited with presents the children of Makiyivka boarding-school №5 for the mentally disabled children. LYUDMYLA IVANIVNA gave children music centre, and girls and boys presented her with sacred image “Saint Nicholas” embroidered by a cross.

 

OLENA PETRJAEVA, the chairman assistant, visited the center of social adaptation and rehabilitation of orphans, children deprived of the parental care “Smarahdove misto” and congratulated with the Day of Saint Nicholas. She examined a medical corps, namely physical therapies, procedural, stomatological cabinets and isolation ward. Also OLENA PETRJAEVA saw a concert. Speaking before the present, she wished “a lot of gladness, smiles, good mood and successes in studies”.

OLEKSANDR TRETYAK took part in Saint Nicholas Day celebrations in Horlivka sanatorium boarding school of the I-II levels for children with cardiovascular system disorder. OLEKSANDR LEONIDOVYCH wised to be “never upset, the same wonderful, as now, always trust theirselves” and handed DVD-Player LG.

 

 

And in Snizhne the children were visited by OLEKSANDR KHOKHOTVA. He congratulated the town children’s home and boarding school for orphans and mentally disabled children deprived of the parental care. OLEKSANDR IVANOVYCH presented the little people with a video camera and sweets. The pupils of school handed the guest with works of creative studio “Constellation of talents”: sets of serviettes and origami – vase with flowers.
