Coming Information about the accidents on Zasjad’ko mine That happened on the 18th of November, on the 1st and 2nd of December 2007 (the 13th of December 2007, 8.00 in the morning)
The 18th of November 2007, at 03.11 in the morning an accident – the explosion of methane-air mixture happened on the 13th section of the eastern layer L1 drift of the 1078 meters horizon. At the explosion moment there were 457 workers in the mine, including the disabled sections – 215.
90 out of 101 dead are buried; 1 is not identified jet; 10 bodies remain in hollows of the disabled section.
On the 13th of December 2007 at 8.00 in the morning 4 injured remain in hospitals. They are :
- 3 in the regional occupational disease clinic;
- 1 in Kalinin hospital.
On the 1st of December 2007 at 6.00 in the morning an accident happened on the 13th section of the eastern layer L1 drift of the 1078 meters horizon in the isolated area. In the rock hollows there were 67 miners, who did emergency-renewing, repairing, search and rescue works.
All miners out of 67 were taken up. On the 13th of December 2007 at 8.00 in the morning 49 injuries remain in hospitals. They are the following:
- 47 in the regional occupational disease clinic;
- 2 in the regional clinical traumatological hospital.
On the 2nd of December 2007, at 21.20 at night an explosion happened during the creation of isolated brattices in the layer L1 in the brattice area. At the explosion moment there were 36 miners and 195 rescue workers.
5 rescue workers are injured to death.
On the 13th of December 2007 at 8.00 in the morning 74 injured (38 rescue workers) remain in hospitals. They are:
- 53 in the regional occupational disease clinic;
- 11 in Kalinin hospital;
- 9 in the regional clinical traumatological hospital;
- 1 in the burning centre.
On the 3d of December, starting from 01.00 after midnight all people from the mine were lead out and all works were stopped. Now there are 3 rescue departments in the mine. Disabled sections of the layer L1 are in the process of submersion (the estimated capacity of the water for submersion is 673 thousands cubic meters, practically given – 285.0 thousands cubic meters).
In regional medical establishments remain 127 injuries. They are the following:
- 103 in the regional occupational disease clinic;
- 12 in Kalinin hospital;
- 11 in the regional clinical traumatological hospital;
- 1 in the burning centre.
38 people were discharged.
On the 10th of December 2007, at 11.00 in the morning was the meeting of Governmental committee. The information about the next council meeting will be additionally.
