President of the Republic Poland L. Kachynskiy and President of Ukraine V. Yushchenko are in Donechchyna

The closing ceremony of the IX Economic Forum "Ukraine-Poland" with participation of the President of the Republic Poland L. Kachynskiy and President of Ukraine V. Yushchenko paws held today in small session hall of the Donetsk regional council in Donetsk. Volodymyr Logvynenko, the chairman of the regional state administration has conducted the ceremony.

 

 Volodymyr Logvynenko on behalf of all inhabitants of our multinational land welcomed the important guests in Donechchyna - the President of the Republic Poland Mr. Lekh Kachinskiy, and the President of Ukraine - Viktor Yushchenko.

The leader of the region has said in his speech that "it is an extremely great honour to the region to become the place of such a prominent and extraordinarily important action as the IX Economic Forum "Ukraine-Poland". Its traditionality, circle of participants and guests, questions, which are considered, demonstrates fundamental creation of good-neighbourly relations and aid-giving behavior, the general interest and problem understanding, which stand before our states on the way of the democratic development and integrations into the world community. And it is hard to overestimate the importance of such meetings, our mutual searching and mutual solving of the most important questions, vital to our states".

 

 Volodymyr Logvynenko has sincerely thanked the President of the Republic Poland Lekh Kachynskiy and President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko "for thorough support and direct participation in Forum that itself speaks of its significance, as an example demonstrates the interest in consolidation efforts and attraction of the business circles of our countries to close co-operation and their participation in the state processes". Also, RSA chairman has expressed his gratitude to all representatives of Republic Poland and Ukraine "for active participation in functioning of the Forum, for business and constructive approach to questions, which were considered, as well as for vigorous and genuine interest directly to Donetsk land, which helped to deeper get to know and estimate its perspective possibilities".

 

President Viktor Yushchenko has estimated in his speech at the IX Economic forum "Ukraine-Poland" the positive obtained indices of the growing trade-economic cooperation and investment interaction. Presently in Ukraine 1214 enterprises with polish capital acts, in Poland - 8 companies with Ukrainian capital and Ukraine increases the investments into polish economy.

The President of Ukraine stated that presently more than half of polish investments were given to western regions of Ukraine. Thereby, it is time to increase the geography of partnership and attract business circles of the Centre, East, South and North of the Ukraine.

 

"I am a great supporter of interregional relations activation", - he said, noting that the local authorities should play an important role in their development.

 

The President has also offered to make more active the informational maintainability of business in Ukraine that must enlarge awareness about potential Ukrainian market. On his belief, the organization of business-forums, exhibitions and the other actions in those regions of our countries that are not enough embraced by cooperation allow to improve the position.

The leader of the state has expressed his confidence in that for successful Ukrainian-polish trade-economic cooperation there exists the reliable base, which consolidates the integration of Ukraine into the International Trade Organization and expected creation of the Free trade zone with EU. Viktor Yushchenko has confirmed to the polish side once more that membership in EU and NATO is a true strategic priority of Ukraine and has expressed sincere gratitude to Poland and its leadership for consequent support of Ukraine in this situation.
