Information about explosion on tenant enterprise “Charles Marx Mine” of the state coal enterprise “Ordzhonikidzeuhol”: at 08:00 a.m.

On June 8, 2008, at 5:00 a.m. there happened an explosion on the mine named after Charles Marx. The place of explosion epicenter and causes are unknown. As a result of explosion there was torn off cage in an elevating mine shaft, the lifting building and pit head of air mine shaft № 2 are destroyed.

Expert commission is under the process of settlement the causes of explosion. At the moment of the accident 37 persons were in mine. 5 persons, suffered on a surface of mine, are hospitalized in medical establishments.

 

At 3:50 a.m., 09.06.08, from 750 m. horizon 2 miners have been lifted on a surface with the help of skip mine shaft: Ivan Ivanovych Koval - explosive materials servicer and Mykola Mykolayovych Vitenko - the master-explosives expert. The injured are in a satisfactory condition and are directed to hospital № 2 in Yenakievo city. Also, there was found Vadym Mykhaylovych Lytvynenko – machinist of underground installation, on horizon 750 m. with no signs of life.

At 12:45 p.m. 8 miners were found on the horizon 875 m, on horizon 1000 m. – 13 miners that were lifted up to horizon 875 m. (in satisfactory condition).
At 14:00 p.m. 6 miners were lifted up to the surface from the horizon 875 m. (O.A. Tsymbaljuk, D.O. Mytsyk, S.Y. Kirjushkin, H.V. Lepetukhin, A.D.Holovin, L.O. Vlasova). 5 injured were sent to hospital №2 in Yenakiyevo city, one miner with traumas – to hospital №7 in Yenakiyevo city.

 

At 17:00 p.m. 9 miners were lifted up from the horizon 875 m. (O. O. Darovukh, I. P. Zhebrakov, O. V. Hrinchenko, A. I. Zabrodsky, I. V. Belyts’ky, V. M. Antoshyn, S. O. Yelonov, and Y. P. P’yatnytsky). They were sent to hospital №7 in Yenakiyevo city.

At 18:05 6 more miners were risen from the horizon 875 m. (O. Y. Taranets, V. I. Lyalikov, Y. V. Birchenko, M. H. Khabarov, R. H. Dem’yantsev, O. V. Holubjev) and sent to hospital №2 in Yenakiyevo city.

At 19:00 S. P. Honcharov was lifted up and also sent to hospital №2 in Yenakiyevo city.

At 03:30 a.m., 10.06.2008 Vadym Mykhaylovych Lytvynenko was lifted up without any signs of life. He was sent to Yenakiyevo department of the Donetsk regional bureau of forensic-medical commission of experts.

Thus, at 08:00 a.m. 10.06.2008 29 injured miners are at hospitals (5 of them had suffered on the surface), and what happened with the rest 12 miners nobody knows.

In Institute of emergency and renewing surgery named after V.K.Husak of Academy of medical science of Ukraine in Donetsk city in Regional burning centre remain 4 injured in a very hard condition (S.V. Kolochev, D.H. tymokhin, O.M. Olendarenko, S.Y. Kiryushkin).

Hospital № 7 in Yenakiyevo city helps to one injured. On 10.06.2008 24 injured that were in hospital № 2 in Yenakiyevo city were moved to regional clinical hospital of occupational diseases in Donetsk. They are in satisfactory condition.
 
Explosion liquidation is in the process.

At 10:00 a.m. (11.06.08) is planned a meeting of Governmental commission under leading of Minister of coal industry of Ukraine, V.I. Poltavets’.
