Meeting of the regional joint committee devoted to fight against tuberculosis

The Donetsk RSA deputy chairman Olena PETRYAJEVA carried out the meeting of the regional joint committee devoted to fight against tuberculosis.
Svitlana SVETLICHNA, head physician of the regional clinical tuberculosis hospital, head non-staff phthisiatrician of the RSA central board of public health, spoke about the realization of the regional “Program for surmounting the tuberculosis epidemic in the Donetsk region in 2007-2011 years” confirmed by the decision of the Donetsk region council from the 31st of May 2007.
Natalia KOZHAN, the head state sanitary physician of the State Department of Ukraine on punishment execution in the Donetsk region told about interdepartmental coordination actions by organization of isolation and medication of patients with tuberculosis, who are decided to be under arrest.

 

And the head of the medical board department of the State Department of Ukraine on punishment execution in the Donetsk region, Volodymyr SHALASHNYJ analyzed the results of 2007 about anti-tuberculosis medical help organization in the Donetsk region solitary confinement cells.

  The head of the regional joint committee on the fighting against tuberculosis in the Donetsk region, the Donetsk RSA deputy chairman Olena PETRYAJEVA called the present to make additional affords to organize effective cooperation with state regional organizations of labour and social protection and offered, in the case of their refusal from contractual bases, to establish another mechanism of cooperation devoted to personal professional testing for tuberculosis of those, registered in corresponding establishments.

 

Participants of the meeting took into consideration the information about the epidemic tuberculosis situations in imprisonment places, draw attention to positive experience of cooperation among the RSA boards of public health and State Department on punishment execution and considered offered variants how to locate special hospitals in free halls of the region communal property.

Also, it is decided to take immediately measures on attraction of the state budget subventions for repair and reconstruction of the given special hospital hall for those, who have tuberculosis and are to be removed or stay in solitary confinement cell.
