Olena PETRYAJEVA: problems and development of the Donetsk region social sphere

The Donetsk RSA chairman assistant Olena PETRYAJEVA conducted the seminar-conference with the assistants of mayors and district state administration chairmen.

Olena PETRYAJEVA pointed out that the year 2007 was favorable for the region. There were a lot of important actions; new establishments were opened in the region. Programs of the region development and its budget for 2008 testify the visible reorientation of the development priorities towards the strengthening and development of the social sphere. It is sufficiently important dynamics, as factors of the latest 8 years among the regions show that the Donetsk region takes 26th and 27th positions for the human resources development, which is determined by the level of deaths, education, ecological situation, labor market and other indices of the region life.

As the Donetsk RSA chairman assistant said, there were created 29 mobile offices for realization of the operative help and consultations for invalids in 2007. In 2008, 13 of such offices are planned.

Olena PETRYAJEVA noticed that beside the determination of invalids’ access to various social objects, which are developed by the representatives of access committees on places and specialists of the Donetsk RSA Main Governance  of city planning,, architecture and house-communal economy, there is also the program of invalids’ integration into society, which includes a lot of directions such as medical service,  creating of educational centers, social maintenance,  provision of pensions and pecuniary aid, professional rehabilitation, job placement, development of physical culture and sport, etc.

The head of the Donetsk RSA Main Governance of labor and social protection, Lyubov YAKOVLEVA took notice to the necessity to continue the active work in the region cities and districts for improvement of the away mobile services’ quality for invalids, creating of asylums for homeless citizens and improvement of work conditions for the workers of local governances of labor and social protection.

The head of the Donetsk RSA governance of health protection, Oleksandr ANISHCHENKO concluded the governance work and the region curative establishments. As far as he said, creating of the unitary medical space on the region territory foresees the determination of three main problems: the lack of staff, weak material-technical basis and insufficient financing.
